Finally someone has been able to photograph the pot at the end of the rainbow.

Technology

It's an odd name for a government agency - it seems more straightforward than usual. Basically, it's the replacement for the Office of Total Information Awareness.

Neat

I received this in an email. Thought it was kind of cool.
Click on the next image Raving Lunatic and you will see your Grand Canyon Skywalk.Scheduled to open Jan. 1, 2006 Hualapai Indian Reservation

I would really like to vist the Grand Canyon again just to see this skywalk.

1. Juts about 70 feet into the canyon, 4000 ft above Colorado River.

2. Will accommodate 120 people comfortably.

3. Built with more than a million pounds of steel beams, and includes dampeners that minimize the structure's vibration.

4.Designed to hold 72 million pounds, withstand an 8.0 magnitude earthquake 50 miles away, and withstand winds in excess of 100 mph.

5. The walkway has a glass bottom and sides...four inches thick.

Funny

Prince Philip of England, the Royal Consort and Duke of Edinburgh, seems to never lack for an interesting comment, about any given situation.

"If it has got four legs and it is not a chair, if it has got two wings and it flies but is not an aeroplane, and if it swims and it is not a submarine, the Cantonese will eat it."

Interesting

And according to the U.K.'s Rear Admiral Chris Parry, there may be some interesting parallels with the collapse of the Roman Empire.

What's all this about invaders from the South?

Interesting

Here's a short 'multimedia' explanation of the meaning and importance of the latest buzz word, just in case there's anyone here who isn't familiar with it.

It may be too late to be learning about it now, though - it looks like congress has already sold the 'net down the river.

Geek

Here's something I might buy if I had a million dollars I just had to spend. This page is also interesting in that it contains "IntelliText" ads - those evil, inline, context-free ads that you have to navigate your mouse cursor around like a minefield. GOD, I hate those things.

Another story in the continuing adventures of Major Richard Sharpe. It airs Wednesday on A&E.

Entertainment

'Barlow notes that he made an awful lot of money as a songwriter for the Grateful Dead, which encouraged its fans to make tapes of its shows for free. Glickman immediately responds by saying: "It is ridiculous to believe that you can give product away for free and be more successful. I mean it defies the laws of nature."'
