Cool

I could look at this girl forever. We've seen her before.

In any case, she's got her own YouTube channel now, for obvious reasons. It's at youtube.com/BandyToaster

Interesting

Select a few variables, and voila! You have created your very own star systems, complete with data about the various planets in them.

Technology

Should I save it, uh, somehow? Or let it fade into history with me?

In any case, it seems to go down every day for an hour or two until I notice it's fucked and bring it back. Things don't like the Arizona heat.

Interesting

A good article, although it could alternately be called "5 observations about reality that will make your head explode".

Business

Here's the website of an Amish restaurant that's located in a town called Middlebury, Indiana. I don't know where it is, but I'd be willing to bet it's worth a bit of a drive - I'm sure the food's great.

Oh, and then there's also the delicious irony.

Funny

I simply had to post this one, which I think also made it to Fark.

It can only be described as a profanity based masterpiece, which , incidentally, apparently got the intended result of getting the guy's cable TV fixed.

Science

According to this article from Cracked, Francis Crick was tripping when he figured out the structure of DNA. Although I had never heard this before, it's really no surprise, is it?

The article also goes on to discuss various other great discoveries that happened at least in part because of the creativity afforded by taking what are now illegal drugs.

Dr. Horrible's sing along blog for those who have not seen it.
Mad Scientists and a musical...what's not to like.

Conspiracy

Form the article:

For years, authorities say, he and his family have popped in and out of U.S. banks, looking to change about $20 million in decaying $100 bills for clean cash, offering ever-changing stories:

It was an inheritance.
Somebody dug up a tree and there it was.
It was found in a suitcase buried in an alfalfa field
A relative found a treasure map.

That buried treasure stands to make someone rich. It could also send someone to jail.

Conspiracy

Yes, there's a way around all those pesky security lines, if you can afford the $128 (a bargain! Much less than I thought it would be) pre-screening fee. Those lines were only intended for the people who need to be controlled, anyway.

"In the post 9-11 era we had to take new measures to protect ourselves yet not destroy our way of life by strangling the free flow of people and commerce. Somehow, we had to find common sense solutions to security bottlenecks that make everyone a suspect. To be blunt, that meant we needed a fair, sensible way not to treat everyone the same when it comes to terrorism protection."

Hehe, priceless.

Obvious

Somehow, I know that somebody, somewhere, is going to say that this article is racist against BLACKS; and that opinion will be common enough to be expressed in the popular media.

And by the sounds of it, they have got it right... absolutely terrifying, and drives the kitty cats wild.

Stupid

Harrison Bergeron would be proud. Only in a country where we would hinder the rich to "help" the poor would somebody think of a dumbass system like this. Apparently, putting stun bracelets on the law abiding passengers is somehow going to help the DHS fight terrorism.

And you're paying for all this.
